Privacy notice
Last updated: 28 July 2026.
Fair Deductions is responsible for the personal data described in this notice.
Information we use
We use account details, verified email addresses, billing identifiers, service usage and the inventories, reports, photographs or other evidence you choose to submit. Stripe handles full card details; Fair Deductions does not receive or store them.
Why we use it
We process information to provide and secure the service, authenticate users, take payments, allocate proposal usage, provide support, prevent misuse and meet legal obligations. Where required, our bases include performing our contract, legitimate interests and legal obligations.
Service providers
Account authentication is provided by Clerk, payments by Stripe, application hosting by Vercel, account and case data storage by Neon, private report storage by Supabase, and AI-assisted document review by OpenAI. Submitted evidence may therefore be processed by these providers to deliver the service.
Retention and security
We retain account, case, billing and usage records for as long as needed to provide the service and meet legal or accounting duties. Uploaded reports are kept in private storage so that you can return to a case. Report access uses short-lived links and is restricted to the signed-in case owner. Deleting a case removes its report. The account page also provides an account-deletion action that removes cases and reports, closes the service account and cancels an associated active subscription. Some billing or operational records may still need to be retained where law requires it.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you may ask for access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection or portability. You may also complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office.
